Implications of Scaffolding:
Scaffolding is a beneficial way to help students grasp difficult concepts that may be out of a class’s reach. Scaffolding is also beneficial to cohesively teach a difficult lesson for a wide range of abilities in a classroom. Scaffolding gives meaning and real life personal connections to what they are learning in the classroom. Even though students are all at different levels of learning and abilities, scaffolding is not always useful for every lesson that a teacher will teach. Not every lesson can be scaffolded for students understanding. Because students are diverse in learning, scaffolding may not help all students. Students may grasp the lesson or concept with a different teaching style. This means that in a classroom, lessons should vary and that teaching techniques should different as well. Switching scaffolding with other techniques help all students learn in a multitude of ways and keeps the tough lessons interesting and engaging..
As a future instructor, I believe that scaffolding concepts that are difficult for a classroom or students to understand is beneficial for students.
